Hi list.
I answered the poll and here is my comment:
I need my summer break to retain my sanity. My kids
need a long break. I we were to have 3 week breaks, all we'd
do is work preparing for the next round of craziness. Yuk!
Furthermore, I read the articles about the year round
schooling and, although it is clear that the etni team tried
to link us to articles both for and against, it seems that
there are no clear cut benefits to year round schooling. It
also seems that the disadvantages outweigh the advantages.
All of the other comments are also comments against year
round schooling. Although so far most of the voters seem to
be against year round schooling, there are quite a few
people who have voted in favor of it. Could some of you in
favor please comment? I'd really like to hear some other
views on the subject!
