Hi all
As a teacher these 28 years, I have been reading your posts both with pain
and empathy.
Today I happened to stumble over a piece of information in our purple Irgun
ledgers ( page 26 ).
It appears that we are not working hard enough.
A five - point math teacher receives a 4.5 hour gmul whereas her/his
English peer gets an hour less.
This goes for 4 point teachers too- (4 hours gmul for math and 3 hours for
English).
Upon asking the Irgun for explanations , the response was that math teachers
have more material to cover !!
Amazingly, its our D and F modules which carry the most work load that are
worth less than the math D and F.
How many of us have found themselves taking on yet another class just for
the sake of that one single hour for a complete misrah?
I do not want to repeat the obviously unjust distortion of our predicament.
Where else would you find a core subject with countless compositions,
projects, logs , written exams as well as oral tests all worked out via
sophisticated rubrics and never-ending formulas.?
