Hi all,

It is hoped that classes in Israel and elsewhere can spend some time writing
letters in Hebrew or English to students on the East Coast going through
difficult times; Here are some NY destinations. Please spread the word!

In general, I think letters in English or Hebrew (and pictures, maybe, for/from
youngest children) will be very appreciated, especially for younger grades.
Snail mail would probably be the easiest for the schools/shuls to handle.

HALB:

Best if letters would be split between the Young Israel of Lawrence, where
grades 6 through 8 are located now, and the girls' high school, which is the
only division functioning in its own building. Indicate in a cover letter
which grades the enclosed letters are for. HALB has separate classes
(boys/girls) for all grades.

Girls’ high school:

SKA
291 Meadowview Ave
Hewlett Bay Park, NY 11557

Grades 6 through 8 are in the Young Israel now, and the younger grades are in a
large neighborhood public school; someone at the Young Israel can get the
letters over to the younger grades. In addition, letters can be sent to the
shul to distribute to kids in the neighborhood who are not necessarily from
HALB.
