-------- Original Message -------- Subject: American wants to teach English in Israel From: Faronoff@xxxxxxx I am a 48 year old woman originally from New York and currently living in Florida. I made aliyah in 2001 and remained in Israel for a year and a half until October 2002. II have an Israeli idetity card and a temporary Israeli passport (I need to be there three years before I get permanent passport). I miss Israel tremedously and would like to return. I had a 22 year financial/banking career in Manhattan. I have a Master's in Business, concentration finance from New York University. I did not focus enough on the Ulpan when I was in Israel and I'm taking steps now to learn Hebrew. Do I need to be fluent in Hebrew to get a position? Since my background is not teaching, would the Ministry of Education pay for any coursework. For instance, Tel Aviv University has a two year Masters' in English program I am interested in. Thank you in advance for any help you can provide. -------------------------------------------- Who's Who on ETNI - http://www.etni.org/whoswho/ Add yourself / Update your entry http://www.boker.org.il/etni/whoswho.htm --------------------------------------------
