-------- Original Message -------- Subject: Cancelling 3-point exam From: Rivka Lewenstein <rlewen@xxxxxxxxx> I read the article on Walla. The whole thing is ridiculous. The article quotes Amira Haim as saying that basically all the students in the south have been doing 4 points in English for the past four years. Can she cite any real statistics to back up her statement? From my experience selling Bagrut practice books, plenty of students in the south are studying towards the three-point exam. As a matter of fact, the coordinator of a large chain of schools using my three-point book told me that the further down south you go, the more students (in that specific chain) are studying towards three points as compared to four and five. Would anyone from this list who teaches in the south care to comment?
