Special Announcement
A special international conference for educators will take place in
Jerusalem at Yad Vashem, June 26-29, 2006. This conference is sponsored
by both Yad Vashem, Oranim and the Asper Foundation.
The proceedings, in English, will feature speakers from across the globe
addressing issues connected with Holocaust education and its relevance
in this age of genocide. Well-known speakers include: Professors
Lawrence Langer, Stephen Feinstein, and Deborah Lipstadt. General Romeo
Dellaire and Professor Irwin Cotler will also address the participants
in plenary sessions. The afternoons will be devoted to educational
workshops presented by conference participants. These workshops will
allow educators and academic from around the world to share their
classroom experiences, materials, and ideas.
The conference is offered to Israeli citizens at a daily fee of 175 NIS
or 450NIS for all three days.
