Hey, all you Etnians who teach Arabic-speaking pupils,

At last, after years of work, our program for teaching English to 
speakers of Arabic is here. It's free for all teachers of English. 
Some school site-licenses will also be given away. This software 
teaches English vocabulary and grammar from the beginners' 
level  through high school. The price to you is zero.  There are no 
strings attached.

Here are the programs:  English for Beginners (55 lessons), which 
teaches from the zero level to about the end of the 5th grqade  It 
includes the ABC . Then the program teaches the 300 most basic words 
and elementary grammar.  The second program is English for School 
(118 lessons), and it goes from about 6th grade to 12th grade.  It 
teaches the 5000 most frequent words and reviews basic grammar.

This program was approved by the Ministry of Education in an earlier version.

There is also a program called Business English (20 lessons). This is 
a high level program for high school students who plan to study 
Business Administration.

The programs are not yet on my web site, but you can download them 
(all in one file) from my server whose address is 
http://lewisl.fileburst.com/. When you log on to the server, you will 
see a list of programs. The one that you want is ArabicEnglish.exe. 
You can ignore the others. Just click on that file. Windows will ask 
you if you want to Run or Save the file. Choose Save. Then you can 
decide where you want to save it. Browse to some place like your 
Desktop  where you will find the file easily again. Then start the 
download process. It's a big file so the download could take 15 
minutes or even longer, depending on the speed of your Internet 
connection. So be patient.

After downloading the file, just double click to open it. This file 
is  a trial version, which means that it is limited in the number of 
accessible lessons. You will need access codes to get into all of the 
lessons.  Just e-mail me at lewisl@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx, and tell me 
where you teach, and I will send you the access codes at no 
charge.  The access codes convert the trial version into a full 
version. But please do not request access codes until you have 
downloaded and installed the program. Do a trial lesson and make sure 
that everything is working OK. Then contact me and I'll send the codes.

Important Note. During installation, you will see a screen which says 
"Requirements" and you will have a choice between Next and Finish. 
You must choose Next. If you choose Finish, the installation will 
jump to the end and will not install the requirements.

This program for teaching English to speakers of Arabic is very new. 
We would appreciate your feedback. Please tell us what you think of 
it. If you find any mistakes, please let us know. Your suggestions 
are important to us. Please respond within 2 weeks of the download.
