Subject: Bagrut
Hi, I wanted to address three issues.
First of all, I must say that I agree with what most of you said about the
magen grade. Those who have done the literature have benefited by having
their grades raised by the 30% lit. Those who haven't, lost out on a lot,
with the total backing of our principal. The only problem that I can see
with that is if their Bagrut grades are a lot higher than their magen
grades. I also have used this class as an example for my other classes who
will be doing the Bagrut in the summer, and now know that they must do all
the work, or else. Second, Rivka made a comment about trying not to have
classes do the Bagrut in the winter. I was wondering why, what are the pros
and cons of sitting for the winter Bagrut.
Third, I wanted to share with you a problem that we had with the Module D
writing. Two of our students wrote their essay on the space for the draft
copy. One of them realized it, and started to copy everything over, but
didn't have enough time for more than three sentences. The other one only
realized what he had done after he heard her story when the exam was over.
Hopefully, those that grade will realize the mistake and check it anyway.
Now that we're after the Bagrut, I'm starting to feel the pressure of the
summer Bagrut breathing down my neck. So much to do, and so little time!
Sandy
