Subject: "Bird by Bird"

Hi All,

I want to deviate from all our "woes" and recommend, "Bird by Bird", a
wonderful book that winked at me from a 2nd hand bookshop shelf. (Ashan
Hazman in Beersheva) It was sandwiched in-between some non-descript
lacking-in-nutrition novels, but believe, me this one is "whole grain". It's
for want-to-be writers, writers in residence, teachers, etc. Anne Lammott
has written a healthy ( I said it was "whole grain!"), humorous and
insightful guide to writing. She covers everything from the blank page
syndrome to publishing and in the last chapter, even libel. (you won't
forget her witty words of wisdom on that!) But don't jump to the last
pages...savor it from the start.

Have a good week!
Laurie
