----- Original Message ----- From: Nira Artzy - arnira@xxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: Confusing LD guidelines and winter Bagrut I received these answers from Judy Steiner: Dear Judy, I've read both the Hebrew and English LD updates on the anglit site and I'd like to make sure I understand correctly: students who needed 2 tapes, one for listening to the exam and one for recording their answers, were given permission last year to have a neutral teacher and use one tape to record their answers. Now that there will not be a neutral teacher, do we go back to using 2 tapes or does the LD student have to choose whether to use one tape for either listening or recording? Judy: It is the school that decides to give permission to a pupil to use two tapes. If a pupil really needs two tapes, however, he should be taking an oral exam. Another question: the winter Bagrut exams are supposed to be written in a few weeks. We haven't prepared the students due to the strike and even if we go back to school tomorrow, there won't be enough time. When will we know anything definite about the upcoming exams? Judy: Sorry, but can’t answer this question. This is up to the Mancalit and the Head of the Testing Dept.
