Since the new school year is "right around the corner", I would like to draw
your attention to the following:
1) I have a new, easy to remember, email address for all counseling
questions: naomi.shema@xxxxxxxxx (I DO reply to letters sent to my old
address as well).
2) On the ETNI site:
http://www.etni.org.il/hearing.htm
you will find a FAQ page related to the BAGRUT exam. Please note that this
page doesn't include details of the allowances because not every pupil with
a hearing loss is entitled to the same allowances - it depends on the
severity of the hearing problem. This information is given on an individual
basis.
On the site you will also find information on various issues related to
teaching English to these children.
3) New - I have a new website for my deaf and hard of hearing students at
Yehud Comprehensive High-School which is designed to be useful for "Shema"
students who study in regular classrooms as well. Under "document library"
there is a category for each module and I have uploaded worksheets and
ANSWER SHEETS. Under "links" pupils will find different self practice sites.
Material will be added frequently. There is link to this website from the
