I'll be brief. We are English teachers, not computer technicians. And yes, I'm one of those non-tech people. Let me add that at my school we have no computer "lab". We have no position for an in-house computer technician; there's a part-time technician who works at odd hours and takes care of "problems", sometimes! We have no speakers for the computers except for a few built-in ones in the newer models. We have no headsets. And we do have an above-average number of LD kids! We have 1 class where the majority of pupils have accommodations! I'm certain that there are many other schools who are in a similar situation and a lot of them may not be reading our postings. I do not know ANY other subject teacher dealing with recordings as we do. They read the exams aloud to their pupils who have time to think over their answers and then dictate them back to the teacher/tester. End of story! Keep cool!
