Thank god for someone like Dr. Rachel Segev Miller who has the accademic
background to sound serious enough to take issue with the Ministry.
A teacher asked me what she should do other than teach English, since she is
now 59. I believe that she and all the English teachers should take a
stand and not give up till their justified complaints are addresed.
I no longer work in the system though I am still sufffering financially from
the years that I did. However I am quite willing to contribute to a fund
for teachers who cannot live without their salaries while on strike. And if
the Irgun and Histadrut cannot take a strong enough stand, then stop paying
your dues.
I feel very strongly about this and would be more active in the struggle if
I didn't have to spend every free minute trying to keep body and soul
together.
