My name is Margaret Phelan. I am an Irish citizen, currently living and working in Ireland.
My partner is accepting an offer for a one to two year relocation working for Intel Israel L.L.C. I am planning to move to Tel Aviv with him for a period of a least one year. While living there I hope to work as an English teacher.
I have one major question: what qualifications are required to teach English as a foreign language in public schools in Israel? I am currently qualified to teach English, French and German as foreign languages in public secondary schools (students aged 12-18) in both Ireland and Britain. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Modern Languages and a Higher Diploma in Education from University College Dublin, Ireland.
I would really appreciate it if you could point me to where I could find this information.
