And besides compensation for the 5 pointers, the weaker - especially MABAR
4 pointers are being ignored. Literature at the level demanded is beyond
them and we are talking about a foreign language. The definition of MABAR
thinking processes - no empathy, no knowledge beyond their immediate
experience and inability to read between the lines.
Of course they are not hopeless - but 10th grade , foreign language is NOT
the time to start teaching them how to think
And of course -wh at happens to standardization... ?
