We use A Cool Collection 2 by ECB in 11th-12th grades and the 5 pts.
Students enjoy stories such as "Priscilla and the Wimps", the excerpt from
"Angela's Ashes", Erma Bombeck's 2 essays, "The Wave", "Man from the South",
"The Open Window", "A Retrieved Reformation". There are many enjoyable
stories in that book and some of them are also suitable for 4 pts students.
The poems are also good and one has a wide choice.
It's a pity we don't have "Eveline" and "A Summer's Reading" in A Cool
Collection 2, which I like very much and enjoyed teaching 4-5 pointers in
the past.
We ask the students to buy the book at the beginning of 11th grade and they
keep using it till the end of 12th grade.
