However, if anyone in your office does keep up with the new laws at the Dept. of Education, I would appreciate any information you can give me. I was told that the Department of Education has passed a new law raising the fees for an education course by 25% for students who take off a year (for example, in order to work, as in my case), despite having received permission from the Department to take the year off. That is, I signed up for a two year course which cost in total 12 000 shekels. I paid 8000 shekels the first year. After the first year, I took a year off in order to work full-time. When I went to resume my studies, I was presented with a bill for 7000, with the excuse that I had to pay the extra 25% penalty. This seems a bit odd (and steep) to me, so I would like to check whether the Teacher's College has the details correct. Could you give me any information concerning this? I would be very grateful.
