Subject: RE: library books
Why not ask one of the English Speaking Golden (old!) age clubs in
Israel to do the organizing? I'm sure lots of retired English speakers
would love to help.
Enjoy life, Patricia

Books for Israel Project, initiated by Jade Bar Shalom and her US-based sister, helped many of us stock our shelves with wonderful titles. Books for Israel connected donor communities abroad with Israeli schools of all denominations; its impact was far-reaching. However, due to Jade's illness, the project is no longer functioning; I've spoken again with Ilan, Jade's husband, and he can no longer devote his time and energy to this important project. Earlier on this school year I asked if there were anyone who might consider picking up where the Bar-Shaloms left off. I received a few inquiries but no one followed up. This is a last plea. It requires a lot of work but unfortunately, there's no funding available at the moment for a coordinator. Your suggestions and help welcome!
