Subject: To all Bagrut Examiners Moed Summer - clarifying message

Dear Examiners
If you are reading this message and have not yet read the message posted early this morning, please read that first! I would like to reiterate, in case some of you are not clear o nthis point, that it is ESSENTIAL to come to the TIDRUCH in Givat Shmuel on Tuesday 1st July even if no firm commitment re reducing hourly quotas for Modules B,C,D,F,G has been received from the Ministry.
Please forward this message to your colleagues who may not read it on etni.
Thank you

Subject: Urgent message for all Bagrut examiners
Dear Bagrut Examiners
Those of you who worked Winter may remember that the issue of reducing the
excessive quotas for Modules B,D,F and G was hotly discussed. Over 200
examiners signed a petition stating they would not work in the summer unless
the current unrealistically stressful quotas were significantly reduced.
Over the past four months several letters have been sent to Agaf Habechinot
and the relevant powers of the Ministry regarding this urgent issue. After
considerable stalling for time, the Head of Agaf Habechinot asked Judy
Steiner to come up with a compromise. A suggestion of 9 per hour for Module
D and 6 per hour for Modules F and G was eventually tendered. Regrettably,
however, to date, no reply from the Ministry as to the suggestion and no
commitment regarding quota reduction has been forthcoming. With the marking
process of hundreds of thousands of exams for the Summer Moed about to begin
and potential vast amounts for Moed Beth to be held in less than three weeks
time, should no firm commitment to reduce the quotas for the said Modules be
given by the Ministry, no marking will take place.
It is sincerely hoped that by 1st July, the day of the general Tidruch, such
a firm undertaking will have been made and there will be no need for
recourse to such drastic action.
Please check Etni regularly for further information and inform all your
colleagues who may not have seen this message.
