Subject: Volunteer teachers
Dear List,
As part of my volunteer activities, I head the pedagogical committee
for Amutat Keren Kagan, an NPO which runs an after-school learning
center in Katamon Tet in Jerusalem. The students come for group help
with homework and for one-on-one help with specific subjects such as
math and English. Most of the children are from elementary school and
most are from the Ethiopian community.
We are looking for teachers (probably retired) for English and/or
other subjects who live in the vicinity and might enjoy volunteering
their hard won expertise a few hours week in favor of the next
generation.
