I took the "joke" idea into my 7th and 8th grades..in addition to telling the number joke (I couldn't believe how many 8th graders already knew the answer!!!!) we also discussed the idea of puns..and I had the kids write down their favorite jokes in Hebrew..then had them translate into English (pair work) and tell their jokes to the class..... a wonderful way to end the year on a cheerful note
