Hello all,
This is to announce 3 benefit events to take place around the country in
Nov.- Dec..
Most of you know that Jade Bar Shalom, together with her husband, Ilan
and sister, Rena in the US, created the Books for Israel project. Jade, as
you already know, is very sick and unfortunately, the health fund does not
cover all the expenses of treatment. In addition, the cost of traveling to
the hospital in Haifa daily from her Galilee home is exhorbitant. When I
first heard that Jade was ill, I decided that I needed to do something to
help and support her after all she's done to help us with her wonderful
project. It's taken some time to organize these events. They are as follows:
Wed., Nov. 16, Midreshet Ben-Gurion, library, 20:30.
TV Channel 2 TV reporter, Sagi Bashan has volunteered to give a talk, "
The Risk in on Site News Coverage". Opening the evening- Aylam Bar Shalom
(Jade and Ilan's son) on classical guitar and Laurie Ornstein, folk songs.
Thurs., Dec. 1, ORT Ma'alot Jr. High, 19:30.
Concert with Laurie Ornstein and Bracha Ben Avraham - American and
British Isles folk music. Laurie will sing and accompany herself on guitar
and mt. dulcimer and Bracha will both sing and play Irish bazouki.

Thurs., Dec. 15, DeShalit High School, Rehovot 19:30. ( Address - 58 Menashe
and Nahala).
Concert - Laurie Ornstein. Laurie will sing both American and Br. Isles
folk songs, accompanying herself on guitar and mt. dulcimer.
I hope to see you at one of these events. Please know that Ilan Bar
Shalom has opened a special bank account and arranged to receive our help
