Hi Naomi,

Dipped headlights means exactly that. The headlights on a car can be adjusted to two levels - high and low. When driving at night a car's headlights are usually on 'low' or dipped' in order not to haze or blind the driver of an oncoming car. It really means that the beam of light is lowered to the road in front rather than beaming further ahead on a dark road, which should only be done if therre are no street lights and no oncoming cars.

Hope this makes sense.

Enjoy life,
Patricia

How does one dip headlights?
