I am working in two schools in the center of the country. In NEITHER school
will we be going against the union injunction but as soon as that is lifted
we will start. I sat with a few other English teachers and we began
planning and, yup, it is going to take TONS of time in the initial phase
plus checking and grading kids journals, 4 or 5 classes worth, often even
after we are done with the original plans. I, for one, wouldn't mind
financial renumeration for all of this extra work for a change. Note, I am
also leaving out my opinion of the lit. module since it seems that teachers'
opinions on what/how we teach are irrelevent anyhow.
