I also saw the interview with Professor Gottwein last night and I agree he
was impressive; it helped to lift my flagging spirits to hear our cause
validated by such an intelligent and articulate spokesman. However, I'm
not sure he is right. If there is some kind of hidden agenda, a sinister
conspiracy, to bring about the privatization of education in Israel, then
why is the government espousing Ofek Chadash? With all its infuriating
flaws and omissions, it is still an attempt to reform, and save, public
education in this country.
