I respect Laurie and Jay and their opinons but I'm shocked their shock!! we
have been on the wrong end of the ministry's screwdriver like forever!!
BTW, a friend got 2 such teachers in her school- neither lasted a month!!!
(most of these hi-techs were probably miserable to their own hi school
teachers so I hope they get what they deserve :):):)
And not just us.... I managed to hear the tail end of a report (on Israel TV
news) about Israeli math teachers..whose average age is 59
and the ministry can't figure out how to attract younger teachers, who "will
succeed to improve Israeli students' math failures..as demonstratd by the
low scores in the Meitzav" so why should we expect any diffferent!!
(And who knows what is waiting for us with the "New Monister of Educ"..no,
NOT a typo!!!! )
