Obviously, if the compo is totally different from what was written, then a few eyebrows may be raised. However, in most cases there are minor discrepancies because that is the nature of this particular beast. ONe important point: when there are discrepancies, it is the spoken, taped version that counts!! So, say there are errors of grammar/vocab. in the written version and the student corrects these when he reads his work back into the tape, then he has gained extra credit. All recorders get automatic hitalmoot from spelling mistakes anyway, so if they can see their language errors when reading out loud, bully for them. Hope this makes it clear. Best of luck. I have a student who has problems recording his answers onto a cassette and more often than not his essay is totally different to what he has written. I know that both the test and the cassette are sent to the marvad. Does it matter that there are discrepencies between the two? Hoping for a quick answer on this one as the bagrut is on Tuesday. ----------------------------------------------- ** Etni homepage - http://www.etni.org or - http://www.etni.org.il ** ** for help - ask@xxxxxxxx ** ** to post to this list - etni@xxxxxxxxxxxxx ** -----------------------------------------------
