My kids drop and read...on the floor, under their desks, on their chairs or on a nice day, sometimes we go outside to read. I also arrange reading lessons in the library for a change of venue. I usually pick the more difficult hours at the end of the day for this. Reading in class shows the kids that reading is important and I can see that they ARE reading! Regarding 11th and 12th graders, I do the same but not always weekly - every other week. Bottom line, we can only do what we can do!
