---------- Forwarded message ---------- From: Henry Mullish <hm48@xxxxxxx> Subject: 2011 Requests of Articles for English Teachers Hi folks: I have now extended the lists I wrote last year. I distributed them to all who requested copies of them. I am happy to say that they were well received. Now I have added several more lists to that collection of homonyms. homophones, and heteronyms. The additions are: Antonyms, Palindromes, a Review of Basic English Grammar, Common but Difficult English Words and Alliterations. If you are interested in any of them, just send me an e-mail message, indicating which of them you would like to see. You can do this by simply stating the appropriate numbers, 1-9. 1. Alliterations e.g. Around the rugged rocks the rascals ran 2. Antonyms e.g. opposite in meaning; close -- open 3. Heteronyms e.g. CONduct and conDUCT 4. Homonyms e.g. same word, different meaning; bark (of a dog) -- bark (of a tree) 5. Homophones e.g. pronounced the same but different meaning; weak -- week 6. Palindromes e.g. Able was I ere I saw Elba (now read it backwards) 7. Review of Basic English Grammar 8. Reversed Words e.g. words which when reversed, form another word; e.g. deliver -- reviled 9. Spelling Common but Difficult English Words Incidentally, if any of the requested lists raise any interesting moments, I would appreciate hearing about them.
