Something I've noticed that is always left out of research is the role that the
school principal plays in educational effectiveness. From my experience, the
best schools always have a principal that is well-loved by teachers and parents
- a principal that knows how to keep order and is supportive of his teachers. I
think that if principals were evaluated by the teachers and parents, rather
than by school test scores, they would be able to produce better schools.

Subject: 8 Myths That Undermine Educational Effectiveness--Interesting
article, applies to us too

I found myself nodding my head as I read each one, esp #3. These are based
in the American education system but there is a lot of carryover to us here
too.
