Actually, this isn't true. Problem solving is defined as identifying a
problem/dilemma in the text and/or possible solutions. I saw a very nice
example of using problem solving on a Bagrut exam. The question about All
My Sons was "Why doesn't Chris want his name on the business?" The student
wrote that Chris has a dilemma -- although he has continues to work in the
family business, he suspects that his father is guilty and he doesn't want
to be associated with "dirty money". He solves his dilemma by telling Joe
that he doesn't want his name on the business in order to relieve his own
guilty conscience.
