Like , it seems, most other schools that I've heard about, our results were very bad, much lower than ever before, much lower than the school grades, and much lower than all the exams that our students wrote at that level throughout the year, or exams that they used in order to practise in class and for homework. Yes, I can, and of course I will, try to get hold of my students to tell them to register to do Moed Bet, but this should not be necessary on such a large scale. When will the exams be checked more carefully, in order to make sure that the level is consistent for the respective modules, and to make sure that the questions are better-phrased and are not ambiguous? When I hear that native English speaking teachers argue about what the correct answer to a question is, that means there is something wrong with the question! And this happens quite frequently. Apart from that I would like to thank Marna, Susan and the Jerusalem Conference Committe for putting on such a great conference. The sessions were varied and interesting, the organization was superb, with everything running like clockwork, and kol hakavod for the very touching film that was chosen for Tuesday's evening entertainment . Thanks too, to the British Council who put on a terrific tea on Tuesday, and offered us some wonderful sessions. Tessa
