---------- Forwarded message ---------- From: Esther Revivo <estherrv@xxxxxxxxxxx> Subject: Bari's post on HOTS As Bari wrote, yes indeed the Histadrut has not come out against HOTS. I recommend Histadrut members who are not enamored with the new program to do one of two things: talk to their union about joining the Irgun sanctions, or move to the Irgun. I was against Ofak Chadash, was upset with the Histadrut for "folding" (as I saw it,) and thus changed my union affiliation. (Yes, I wrote the Histadrut why I was moving, and phoned the Beer Sheva branch as well.) There is strength in numbers, and I for one don't see long lines of experienced EFL teaching waiting out there to take over for us. If enough of us dig in our heels, I don't see the feasibility of this program going forward as it is at present.
