---------- Forwarded message ---------- From: Karen Furman <kfurman2632@xxxxxxxxx> Subject: Book recommendations I work with a family that wants to improve their children's reading fluency. They speak English at home. What fiction or non-fiction books would you recommend for: 1. a 6th grade boy. He does not learn English at school and learned to read from private tutors. His is a weak reader. The Magic Tree House Series is too hard. His twin brother is slightly stronger in reading, but Magic Tree House is also difficult. 2. a 5th grade girl. We are currently reading a book called Onion Sundaes, A Houdini Magic Mystery by David A. Adler. The level is perfect for her. She is interested in this book. We have read Helen Keller in the Step into Reading Series. She enjoyed this. Thanks, Karen ************************************** ** Subscribe/Unsubscribe - http://www.freelists.org/list/etni ** Join ETNI on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/groups/31737970668/ ** ETNI Blog and Poll http://ask-etni.blogspot.co.il/ ** Etni homepage - http://www.etni.org ** post to ETNI List - etni@xxxxxxxxxxxxx ** help - ask@xxxxxxxx ***************************************
