Hi everyone, One of the things I do is administer some of the ETS international tests for English and French here in Israel, and I recently attended a week-long workshop to become one of their international teacher trainers (great honor!!) As part of the course, we learned how a test item is constructed and tested for validity and also the amazing way in which they maintain the objectivity of their assessment of speaking and writing tasks. They really are the masters of assessment!! Hope you are all enjoying the summer... You can also write away for the Messick article - Test Validity and the Ethics of Assessment Important considerations!!! These are basic issues in testing, but need to be considered very seriously!! The lack of validity is really a big problem! ************************************** ** Join ETNI on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/groups/31737970668/ ** ETNI Blog and Poll http://ask-etni.blogspot.co.il/ ** Etni homepage - http://www.etni.org ** post to ETNI List - etni@xxxxxxxxxxxxx ** help - ask@xxxxxxxx ***************************************
