---------- Forwarded message ---------- From: sheila cohen <jscohen5@xxxxxxxxx> Subject: Re: Incoming Oleh w/. question about Teacher's Salary I don't know the difference but it becomes more important to have the Israeli certificate once you begin doing Hishtalmuyot- These are required courses that every teacher takes during the year either in school in the afternoons or at a local center where you are expected to register and attend a course, 60 hours a year usually, which teaches you something about teaching your own subject or an additional skill which maybe useful in the class room. Many of them are about advances in using computers in the classroom or about special needs methods. There is lots of choice. I discovered to my great loss, that the credits you get for these courses are only accounted for, once you have an Israeli License to teach. And the credits you get do make a difference to your salary after a while as well as your "vetek" (number of years teaching.) I hope that helps Sheila Mordy wrote: > I was wondering if anyone could help me here a bit. > > I am trying to see what salary scale is for teacher's with and without > the Israeli Certificate (and with).
