Some of you may have missed the announcement for Twist and Write, a
unique writing workshop that combines physical movement with creative
writing. Choreographer Miriam Rother and I will be leading the
workshop on Thursday, November 13th at Orchan Ha’Waj in Moshav Givat
Ye’arim, a dramatically beautiful locale in the Jerusalem Hills.
Places are still available, so if you’re up to trying something
unusual that will inspire and challenge you to step, leap, twist or
skip out of your comfort zone, visit www.writeinisrael.com for details
about Twist and Write.

The Writing Gym will return to downtown Jerusalem! I will send
specific details by the end of November.

David Yellin College in Jerusalem is offering a year-long course in
creative writing taught by Joanna Chen (poetry), Ilene Prusher
(nonfiction) and Janice Weizman (fiction). Now is the time to contact
Nathaniel Sarfaty at 02- 6587528 if you are interested.

News from The Writing Pad: We’re branching out -- November in Moshav
Givat Ye’arim and December’s program, “Writing about The Other,” will
be held at the Benedictine Monastery in Abu Ghosh. Presenters will be
Brother Olivier, Ruth Ebenstein and Yours Truly. Details forthcoming.

January will find us back home in Beit Zayit with Linda Zisquit
leading a poetry workshop and Yours Truly leading a workshop on
writing about unresolved childhood grief in February. Michael Golding
will return before the end of 2015 and we will welcome Fred Leebron
this summer. I’ll be sure to notify you of other upcoming surprises.

On the community page at www.writeinisrael.com, you can find contact
information for writers who teach and mentor throughout Israel.

Wishing you all a year of productive work, good health, love, and time
out for writing,

Judy
