Subject: "OREF EITAN 1" National Drill

SHALOM!
Next week there will be a (free translation)  National Drill /
Exercise that involves operating the Israeli school system in an
emergency situation. The idea is that all of us, teachers, pupils,
etc. at a given time turn to teaching and learning online as if we
were prevented from attending school because the country is under
attack (Missiles dropping on Israel). We live in Israel, so we are all
"familiar" with such a situation in way or another.  Discussing this,
however, is not the point of this post. The thing is that as the
teacher who administers the Kugel school site (www.kugel.org.il), I am
in charge of whatever has to do with the "preparedness" (allow me to
use this term as the translation of 'hachana") in my school.
Accordingly,  I have prepared a presentation and turned it into a
video clip using Screenr to tell Kugel teachers what they are expected
to do (clip 1). I have done the same to introduce Moodle as one
possible "digital area" where Kugel teachers may meet their pupils
during the drill and beyond(clips 2 and 3). I wish to share what I did
with you because it might be of help (I have got a lot from ETNI /
ETAI teachers, so I see it fit to share, too.)

It's all in Hebrew, of course, but then we live and work in this, how
shall I put it? interesting country.
Let's hope this drill helps us push online teaching and learning, and
we NEVER face any emergency siituation that forces us to put to
practice what we  drill (I am well aware that you in the South and the
North can teach all the rest how to face that situation).
