Poem about writing in English

A STUDENT COMMENTS ABOUT WRITING IN ENGLISH

Writing for me is very problematic

because the English language is so idiomatic

AND both the spelling and grammar are 'off the walls'.

There's no such thing in English as: 'boys talls'.

One tense in English is used for the persons in the past,

But don't think you'll 'catch on' to English THAT fast,

because pronunciation changes; I don't know why.

All these words are sounded the same: SIGH/DIE/CRY.

Why then is each written differently and it's not JUST these.

What about PEAS/BEES/HE'S and SNEEZE?

'One Wednesday in winter': all have the same opening sound.

What about 'which/witch', 'wear/where'? .....and more changes can be found.

I can 'get on' a bus and I can 'get on' a horse.

The first I'll really INSIDE of; the other, ON TOP OF, of course;

"so/sew", "it's/its", "not/knot" easy "to/two/too" "right/write" an essay

 without making mistakes,

but I HAVE to keep trying, as long as it takes.

I'll work on idioms, grammar, spelling and more

and I hope that my writing skills will improve before

I have to produce an essay for my bagrut test.

I hope I'll go from GOOD to BETTER ...and from BETTER to THE BEST.
