Subject: Schools for English speaking teenagers?

Hello,

Please tell me what, if any, options are available in Israel for my
son Akiva. He will be 15 in Sept. He has grown up in “modern orthodox”
day schools when he was younger, but now we live in a town devoid of
Jews. He has been in public school for the last 3 years.

Akiva is bright, funny, artistic and into playing guitar (but not an
intellectual). I would like to see him in some kind of boarding school
in Israel that is observant or at least traditional and/or half
religious/half secular. He has 3 very close family friends living in
Israel (Tzefat, Yerushalaim and Zichron Yaakov) where he could stay
for Shabbat, Chagim, etc. The problem is that he speaks NO Hebrew and
can only read Hebrew with vowels but with no understanding.

Do you have any suggestions of what is available in Israel for him for
this coming school year?

Thank you for your time,

Joel Bakst
