Before the rains come...let's rise up singing in southern style - the
Southern Fried Jam! Next Fri., Nov. 22, kick-off time10:30 AM.
With Chanukah and Thanksgiving...Thanksgivukkah around the corner, and
shorter days..let's sing and raise our spirits with spirituals and
songs about the changing of the seasons and anything slightly
connected!
Bring your copies of Rise Up Singing! Bring instruments, polished
vocal cords and a picnic lunch. Meeting at the horse-shoe shaped
picnic table in the picnic area across the parking lot from the Joe
Alon Bedouin Heritage Museum. See the steps going down from the museum
parking lot. Don't forget blankets or folding chairs.
Directions from the north: Route 40 south to Lahav Junction. (not
Lahavim!) Turn left and drive east (more or less) till you reach the
fork and the
wooden sign for the forest and Joe Alon Bedouin Museum. Take the right fork
and follow the road through the park, past the picnic grounds to the parking
lot by the museum. Look for us down the steps, across the parking lot from
the museum entrance.
