*The International Fellowship of Christians and Jews was founded in 1983 by
Yael's father, Rabbi Yechiel Eckstein, as an effort to promote better
understanding and cooperation between Christians and Jews, and to build
broad support for Israel. Today, The Fellowship is the world's largest
organization of Christians actively working with Jews to support Israel and
the Jewish people. *
*As senior vice president of The Fellowship in the office of the president,
Yael Eckstein oversees all ministry programs and serves as tshe
international spokesperson for the $140 million organization. Based in
Jerusalem, Yael is recognized as a published writer, a respected social
services profressional, and an expert on Jewish-Christian relations. *
*She is also a regular contributor to the Jerusalem Post and the author of
two books, Holy Land Reflections: A Collection of Inspirational Insights
from Israel and Spiritual Cooking with Yael. In addition, her insights
into life in Israel, the Jewish Faith, and Jewish-Christian relations can
be heard weekly on The Fellowship's radio program Holy LandMoments, which
airs six times per week in English and Spanish on over 1,500 radio stations
around the world. *
*A native of Chicago and educated in both the U.S. and Israel, including
bibilical studies at Torat Chesed Seminary in Israel, Jewish and sociology
studies at Queens College in New York, and additional study at Hebrew
University in Jerusalem, Yael has also taught Hebrew and Jewish studies in
the United States. *
