Subject: The book list for native speakers

First of all, a very big thank you to all those who wrote suggesting books
for 7/8th grade native speakers.

Before I get any more – and yes, please keep them coming – I am going to
post what I have received to date.

To Kill a Mockingbird

Judy Blume books

American Girl series

Grains of Sand

Roald Dahl stories ( I already use these. Great for the right students.)

Ann Sherly

Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants

Call of the Wild

The Book Thief

Alexander MrCall Number #1 Ladies Detective Agency

The Hunger Games

Snow Treasure

The Cay

The Giver by Lois Lowry

Course books suggested -

UK Lonsdale KS3 English Coursebook Essentials ( I’m going to look into
this. Being British, I am prejudiced in favour of British books.)

Interactive Reader and Writer (Available at Wiz Kids)

There will probably be more coming.

Donations to me will be gratefully accepted to enable me to buy all the
books books on the list which I don’t already have.

Jennifer
