They are grown up now but when they were young ADHD wasn't heard of in Israel. I used to belong to a mother and baby group back then and one of the mothers with an ADHD/dyslexic son took it upon herself to find out what was "out there" to help him. To cut a long story short, she found the answers abroad and brought them to Israel. She is now (and has been for many years) a certified facilitator in the Davis method of correction. My daughter did her program and it literally changed her life. The program is very different from anything else you have seen or heard of for helping LD/ADHAD students at any age, even adults. Her name is Judith Schwarcz, she is in Raanana, and her contact details are E-Mail: moogy@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Local Telephone: 09-7729888 http://dyslexia.org.il/ Hope this info helps others on this list too Candy Shinaar ---------- Forwarded message ---------- From: Jenifer Byk <byk@xxxxxxxxxxxx> Subject: What to do after a pupil is tested Can anyone out there point my nose in the right direction? Once a pupil has been tested for LD/ADHD or whatever, where does that pupil go for serious help? I am not talking about the various accommodations given by the school, or, in fact, any help given by the school. I have a pupil who is in need of help. Money is not a problem. She is not looking for a teacher but for a professional who deals with serious learning disabilities, though she, herself is not unintelligent. ************************************** ** Join ETNI on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/groups/31737970668/ ** ETNI Blog and Poll http://ask-etni.blogspot.co.il/ ** Etni homepage - http://www.etni.org ** post to ETNI List - etni@xxxxxxxxxxxxx ** help - ask@xxxxxxxx ***************************************
