Dear Colleagues- Here's the newest installment of the Yahav Keren
Hishtalmut telle novella. (Did I ever mention that I did a NY State
Regents exam in Spanish? LOL)
Because I mentioned that I am not representing only myself, but a
large respectable community of EFL educators, not only did a
supervisor contact me at 2.30 this afternoon, but someone above her
called me 10 minutes later. Sadly, we are not allowed the flexibility
of other gov't employees to move our karnay Shabbatonim wherever we so
desire. However, I received the phone number of one Chani Corall and
left a message requesting other options that Misrad Ha'Otzar may allow
us to take advantage of, as Ms.Yahav upper echelon supervisor agreed
that it seems unfair and in her words unlikely that we are not allowed
to decide what investment plans our karnei hishtalmut will follow
beginning in January 2011.
Additionally, I have the e-mail of another individual in Misrad
Ha'otzar and will try in my elementary school level Ivrit to make the
above query. Stay tuned for further installments of the "Yahav
