Subject: advice: teacher for Christian school
A friend of mine, who has been teaching at university level for many
many years, was wondering if there were jobs here in Israel for her.
She is a Christian and would prefer working in Christian schools, at
any level.
If yes, who could she contact? She had lived in NYC for over 50
years, and went to live in Puerto Rico, a few years ago. She doesn't
want to go back to NYC or stay in P.R. She sent me her resume and
many letters of recommendations. Thanking you in advance for any
direction you could provide.
I took out the main points from what she had written me. Here are the
main positions she has held:
I have primarily taught first-year composition, research, and here
(Puerto Rico) I
have taught ESL immersion courses along with advanced courses.
I am including a recommendation letter from the dean of Liberal
Studies Program, where I was a full -time professor teaching
two-sequence courses Writing 1 and 11 and designed Service Learning
courses developed from my doctoral courses at Teachers College,
Columbia University. Dean Schwarzbach is still at this post and will
respond to any questions about my almost 14 years teaching at NYU.
