I agree with you that now is an opportunity for changing the way in
which immigrant and English teachers are certified in Israel. The old
system with the exception of the English course I took at David Yellen
was useless to me. I never completed the course because I was stymied
at every opportunity by the MOE and the their affiliate morons at the
Pedogogical Institute in Jerusalem. Perhaps we should look at how
certified teachers are recognized in other countries and use a similar
process here.
