Ah Barry - how prophetic to a situation so pathetic:
I must confess
A deep distress
That native English proficiency
Shows up our great deficiency
As we search in total seriousness
For answers so mysterious
To tests designed for EFL students
Who barely know the rudiments
And yet who is not surprised
When suddenly we realize
That answers that we thought absurd
Are given full grades for every word
While to responses we thought obvious
Some markers are quite oblivious
The key, the key, my students for the key of course.
