Students doing the log put every written task into the log. Sometimes
the pre-reading task and the basic understanding component have
written tasks. Usually there is at least some vocabulary work. I also
usually have a written element in the Analysis and Interpretation
component. What you don't have to do is grade every task. Only one in
addition to the summative assessment needs to be graded.
