Subject: Re: degree recognition horror stories
To my dear fellow English teachers,
I fail to see the point of sharing these stories. We have all
experienced the incompetent side of many government departments in
this country as well as others. We need to be aware of the negative
effect of such emails both on new teachers and on each other. If we
choose to remain English teachers, we can be most productive if we
remain positive about as many aspects of it as possible. I am the last
person to be overly optimistic about anything, but refraining from
expressing the negative is critical for our collective and individual
well-being.
If there is something we can change, them we can be an incredibly
powerful force as a group working together.
